The apartment is located in Palaio Faliro, a coastal district of Athens. The client’s brief was to design custom furniture to all spaces including the kitchen and fireplace. The main interest was to retain any original elements of the apartment, especially the terrazzo floors that were very carefully restored. Having that in mind, a contemporary fireplace is added paired with two custom built-ins in natural oak on each side. A neutral white color palette is selected for the furniture, to pay attention to the red marble floor pattern. Natural oak finish is also used to the entryway furniture, the dining room cabinets & study, and the kitchen details & table. Lacquered wood in green and blue shades along with white marble countertop & tiles are used to the kitchen and bathroom, to enhance the vintage character of the apartment.
