This project concerns the renovation of a 1970s apartment located in Palaio Faliro, in the southern part of Athens.
The design objective was to give the apartment a distinct character and renovate it in a way that would preserve its original elements, like the terrazzo floors which were carefully restored.

The design began with the removal of the interior partition wall, transforming the apartment into an open-plan space. A new contemporary fireplace with clean lines was designed at the living room, which is framed by two custom-made oak bookshelves.
Opposite the fireplace, a custom-designed bookshelf with an integrated worktop was designed, alongside the dining area.
A neutral white color palette was chosen for the living room furniture, to highlight the distinctive red marble floor of Ritsona.
At the entrance, a custom-made furniture was designed to define the hall, while the bedroom door is seamlessly intergrated.

The existing kitchen and bathroom were completely renovated. The new built-in furniture and finishes, in lacquered green and blue shades, enhance the apartment’s vintage character.
