The architectural design concerns the interior of a residence in Peristeri, a suburb at the western part of Athens. The original layout consisted of a series of isolated rooms, a small living room, one bathroom, and a central space with limited natural light.

The clients envisioned a spacious living room — a central gathering space where the family can relax, play, and spend time together — positioned adjacent to the kitchen and the addition of a guest WC.
Therefore, the floor plan was completely reconfigured to improve the overall functionality, and accommodate the family’s needs. The new layout establishes a clear vertical axis that connects the communal living areas with the private spaces. New openings were strategically introduced to maximize natural light and cross ventilation throughout the home.

Custom-designed multipurpose woodwork was incorporated in the living area, functioning both as a storage solution and a workstation. Color is applied throughout the different rooms, with a calm, natural palette in the shared living spaces, a bold, dark kitchen, and bolder tones in the bedrooms, creating a balance between serenity and character.
